The adventure begins in Vietnam, in Ho Chi Minh City. For those arriving early, a visit to the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral is recommended.
Farewell Vietnam and board a public bus bound for Phnom Penh. Learn about Cambodia’s tragic recent history at haunting Tuol Sleng Museum and the Killing Fields.
Head out into the countryside and be treated to a rural village homestay. Spend time practising Cambodian language skills with the locals, and revel in the delightful change of pace and the spoils of home cooking.
Hit the beach in one of the country’s most popular holiday destinations. While in Sihanoukville, take the opportunity to explore surrounding islands on a boat trip or visit the lush Ream National Park.
Return to Phnom Penh and discover more sights in this beguiling city. Perhaps wander through the bustling market stalls of Psar Thmei or relax with a traditional massage.
Admire the fading French architecture of Kompong Cham. This charming city and surrounds is also the perfect place for a two-wheeled adventure.
Don't miss Cambodia's extraordinary temples of Angkor - just a short ride away from the town of Siem Reap. The sight of these iconic ancient wonders framed against a sunset backdrop has to be seen to be believed.
Cross the border into Thailand and cover the home stretch to Bangkok. Why not relax on a slow-going longtail boat or check out the verdant gardens of the Grand Palace.
