Retrace the footsteps of ancient kings while exploring one of the most significant cultural sights in South-East Asia. Originally built between the 9th and 13th centuries, these remnants of the Khmer Empire are truly fascinating and should be visited over several days to do them justice. Day 1 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat

A vibrant nightlife, mouth-watering food, a time-worn French feel and certain famous temples on its doorstep - Siem Reap is a little town with a big, pulsating heart. Immense, awe-inspiring, extraordinary - the Angkor Wat temples are all this and much more. Built in the 12th century, this former Khmer city is nothing short of spectacular.

Day 2 Banteay Srei/Ta Prohm

Banteay Srei is a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Built in the 10th century, it consists of three rectangular enclosures and is incredibly ornate. With tree roots slowly swallowing it back into the jungle, Ta Prohm is one of the most atmospheric and dramatic of the stunning Angkor temples.

Day 3 Tonle Sap

The striking Roluos Group is made up of three temples – Bakong, Lolei and Preah Ko – located only a few kilometres from the town of Siem Reap.

Day 4 Siem Reap

Much more than the gateway to the Angkor temples, Siem Reap has a rich cultural heritage spanning many centuries and a charming, laidback atmosphere.
