Travel from Las Vegas to San Francisco and visit Yosemite National Park
Hit the open roads of California and Nevada. On the way from Las Vegas to San Francisco, wind through the barren deserts of Death Valley and the evergreen forests of Sierra Nevada. After beginning among the wacky characters of Sin City, leave the desert city behind and head for California's bountiful mountain region, including its most famous national park – Yosemite. Combining two ever-changing cities with consistently astounding natural beauty, this trip is a great way to experience a taste of what road-tripping in the USA has to offer.

Vegas to San Fran SummaryAdd to Shortlist
Welcome to Vegas – a hedonistic, hell-raising, party town. Perhaps arrive early and get a few hangovers under the belt before you hit the road, or simply enjoy this crazy place at a pace that suits you.
Brave the scolding desert heat of Death Valley and, after sweating it out a little, come to terms with one of the United States' most unique ecosystems. If the conditions are favourable, take a small walk onto the sand to see how life manages to survive among the inhospitable terrain.
It might be a little tough to pronounce at first, but Yosemite is arguably the United States' premier national park. From the giant granite domes to the gushing waterfalls that feed the stunning forests and lakes below, Yosemite will take your breath away at every turn. Enjoy free time in the park to tackle some of the hiking trails, hire bikes or just bliss out at the tranquil surrounds of Mirror Lake.
Be romanced by the incredible Bay Area, including its crown jewel – the progressive and popular city of San Francisco. Time-permitting, consider sticking around for a few days after the trip's end to check out some of this great city's other attractions.

Vegas to San Fran, June 2014
Chris was a fantastic leader - always had a smile on his face, very knowledgeable and wanted to ensure that we had the best time - went out of his way to make that happen. There were occasions whereby communication I felt within the group could have been explained a little clearer especially when we all went off in our own directions shopping, exploring etc. We had one particular "odd" character in our group who thought the whole tour was based around her and her actions. Often she would be the last back on the bus constantly holding us up or told Chris where she thinks he should stop etc. Although Chris has a lot of patience, I feel he needs to be a bit more assertive or at least make it clearer to those types the expectations within a group tour. There was one instance I recall Chris telling her that we had to go, but on other occasions, being a team leader myself back at home, I would have had a quiet word to her regarding "team and tour" expectations

Best trip I've ever made Brian was a very good leader, we have had a lot of fun with him. Very responsible, but also for some silliness which makes the trip very enjoyable.
