Day 1 Tortula
With its small island feel, white sand beaches and turquoise clear waters, Tortula is the perfect introduction to Caribbean bliss. After a night here, set out for Treasure Island - ok, it’s actually called Norman Island, but it's where Robert Louis Stevenson's set his famous book.
Day 2 Norman Island
Settle into island life with a snorkel around The Caves. Dive through caverns and grottoes to spot octopuses, stingrays and possibly even pods of dolphins. For a relaxed family evening, why not head to The Pirates Bight restaurant for some hearty Caribbean fare.
Day 3 Peter Island/Salt Island/Cooper Island
It’s time to haul anchor and set sail on the high seas. Dive into the deep for the chance to snorkel with sea turtles before heading to Salt Island in search of the RMS Rhone. Considered the most perfectly preserved shipwreck in all the Caribbean, it's a highlight for scuba divers. Moor at Cooper Island for some rest and relaxation among the fragrant frangipanis and beautiful scenery of the Cooper Island Beach Club.
Day 4 Virgin Gorda/The Baths/Gorda Sound
A jumble of giant boulders situated 2 km off the coast, The Baths are an exquisite place to spend an afternoon. Explore the mesmerising water-filled caverns and grottoes - you'll half expect to stumble upon a mermaid basking on a rock - or trek into the surrounding lush foliage.
Day 5 Gorda Sound/Beef Island/Marina Cay
Another day, another island paradise. Spend time marooned on the island of North Sound, snorkelling the offshore seabeds or just soaking up the scenery of this popular one-time pirate hangout.
Day 6 Jost Van Dyke
This stunning island is the perfect place to take the family on an easy hike. Or, for the more tranquil at heart, settle into a hammock or build castles in the sand - the word 'laidback' was thought up with Jost Van Dyke in mind.
Day 7 Sandy Spit/Green Cay/Soper’s Hole
More great snorkelling and beach lounging opportunities await at Sandy Spit and Green Cay on the sail back to Tortola. Blackbeard may have found the British Virgin Islands, but celebrities and tourists have well and truly made this slice of tropical paradise their own. Why not toast his discovery with a final group meal at the Jolly Rodger Restaurant before this Caribbean island-hopping adventure finishes up the next day.
Day 8 Tortola
Enjoy a final swim in the crystalline seas of the British Virgin Islands before this family adventure wraps up back in Tortola around midday.
