Days 1-2 Salvador da Bahia

A laidback city known as 'Brazil's capital of happiness', Salvador da Bahia's streets are full of colour, its air full of music and people full of smiles.

Days 3-5 Chapada Diamantina

With table-top mountains, lush valleys, dramatic monoliths, bubbling rivers and striking caves, Chapada Diamantina National Park is a true gem of Brazil.

Days 6-7 Terra Ronca/Cavalcante

Terra Ronca is a state park that has a large number of incredible caves and grottoes, formed by erosion caused by rain and the Lapa River. Cavalcante is a small town located on the edge of the Chapado dos Veadeiros National Park. It has excellent hiking trails and gorgeous scenery.

Days 8-10 Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park

Estimated to be a paltry 1.8 billion years old, the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park sparkles with crystals, rains with waterfalls and abounds in rare and amazing animals.

Days 11-12 Brasilia

Brasilia was planned and built in the 1950s as the country's new capital and is a marvel of design and architecture, lauded the world over.

Day 13 Bush Camp

Set up camp in the lush Brazilian countryside and enjoy a night under the stars.

Days 14-15 Ouro Preto

Built during Brazil's gold rush in the late 17th century, Ouro Preto's wealth produced a cultural city filled with spectacular Baroque architecture.

Day 16 Teresopolis

Abundant in natural beauty, Teresopolis borders the Serra dos Orgaos National Park and is famed for its outdoor adventures and challenging mountain peaks.

Day 17 Rio de Janeiro

Bigger than life and beautiful to boot, Rio de Janeiro sits resplendent among mountains, rainforest and sea, and emits an energy that is irresistible to everyone who visits.
