Day 1 Cuzco

Start the adventure in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Explore the majestic main plaza before wandering cobbled streets or learning more about Peru’s history and grandeur in the city’s many museums.

Day 2 Puerto Maldonado

Drive to Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to the Amazon.

Days 3-4 Amazon Lodge

Travel to the Posada Amazonas lodge and be immersed in the dense expanses of forest surrounding the area. Keep an eye out for toucans, parrots and macaws flying against the horizon and search for giant river otters and other lakeside wildlife while sailing around the Tres Chimbadas Lake on a catamaran.

Days 5-8 West Brazil Bush Camp

Journey to this rarely visited part of Peru and central Brazil via Rio Branco and Porto Velho – the latter of which is a gold-rush town with a few gold shops still doing business.
