Itinerary

Begin the journey in Johannesburg, the commercial centre of South Africa and a sprawling city of green parks, towering skyscrapers, gracious mansions and lively townships. Those who arrive early may want to visit the historic township of Soweto or the Apartheid Museum to learn more about South Africa's history.
Cross the border into Botswana to witness the success of the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This inspirational conservation project was once a hunting area and is now a haven for endangered black and white rhinos. A game drive at dusk may reveal rhinos, wildebeest, zebras and giraffes.
Make tracks to Maun, a small town famed for being the gateway to Botswana's famous Okavanga Delta.
This famous waterway is formed by the Okavango River fanning out into an intricate maze of streams, creating 16,000 sq km of wetlands. With the help of a friendly local, traverse the delta in a mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe. Camp under the stars in the remote wilderness and rise early for a sunrise walk. Stay alert and try to catch a glimpse of elephants and cape buffalo.
Wake up early and venture out on a sunrise walk hoping to catch a glimpse of some elephants and Cape buffalo. Returning to camp for breakfast, take the rest of the day to relax, take a swim or test your poling skills before heading out for an afternoon walk or perhaps another mokoro trip.
Experience life in a rural village then head back to Maun, perhaps opting for a flight over this amazing area.
Journey on to Nata and set up camp on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. When the wet season arrives, the pans become a haven for native birds and animals, making for some exceptional wildlife spotting opportunities.
Head for the plains and waterways of Chobe National Park. Famous for its elephant herds, Chobe also shelters lions, hippos and African fish eagles. Enjoy a relaxing water safari down the Chobe River in the golden light of the afternoon - this is one of the best ways to see these creatures at close quarters.
Travel on to Victoria Falls. Cross the border into Zimbabwe in time to have lunch on the banks of the Zambezi.
Kick-off this enthralling adventure in Zimbabwe's adrenaline capital. Marvel at the sight of white water thundering down Victoria Falls, and be coated in a fine mist of spray as it shoots hundreds of metres into the air. There are many ways to view the falls; choose between whitewater rafting, bungee jumping, abseiling and canyoning.
Set out for a 4x4 game drive through the plains and wetlands of Zimbabwe's largest game reserve. Once the royal hunting grounds of Ndebele warrior-king Mzilikazi, the park is now home to approximately 400 bird and 100 mammal species.
Known locally as the 'City of Kings', Bulawayo is Zimbabwe's second largest city and has a very interesting historical past.
We leave Bulawayo this morning to the Matobo Hills to view the Bushman Paintings, rock formations and scenery in the National Park during the morning. We then leave the National Park and enter the African Villages where we meet some of the local community and visit an African Village.

After a cold lunch we enter the Game park section of the National Park where we track Rhino on foot with our guides. Here there is also the opportunity to spot other game and learn about the different flora.
Hit the road headed for Palapye.
Head towards Blouberg and camp in South Africa's Limpopo Province, an area that offers a unique and exciting cultural experience. Pursue paths along the base of the Blouberg Mountains and hear stories of the fascinating local community, who still lead a very traditional lifestyle. Later, enjoy authentic local meals such as Thopi and Malana at a village tavern.
Travel through the expansive savanna and rolling hills to the the spectacular Kruger National Park.
Embark on a full day game drive in the truck.
Take in stunning panoramas from the viewpoint over the incredible Blyde River Canyon. On arrival in Johannesburg, perhaps set out for some last-minute souvenir shopping or just rest those well-travelled feet at a local bar or cafe.
