Home to large populations of wildlife, rugged national parks, wetlands alive with birds and one of the world’s largest deltas, Botswana’s bounty of natural treasures is remarkable.
With winter sunshine, a temperate climate and golden sunsets, it’s no wonder most locals have beaming smiles - they’re surrounded by some of Mother Nature’s greatest triumphs.

Okavango Experience
Cynthia · Traveled February 2024
The Jo-berg to Vic Falls trip was busy and fun. Each location offered something slightly different. A highlight of the trip was the Okavango Delta. This is not to be missed! The Intrepid team was just outstanding. Highly recommend.

The Okavango Delta Experience is INCREDIBLE. Leader Sandile was absolutely brilliant, chef Nolo (& her food) a delight & Gift our driver safe & super friendly! We saw rhino, giraffe, zebras, elephants, wildebeast, impala, warthogs & lions up close to name a few! Camping in the delta & mokoro (traditional canoe) cruising was otherworldly.

This is an wonderful trip and incredible value for money. Not for the faint hearted, you will get up close and personal with Africa's wildlife. The local people in the Okavango are a delight to be around. The team from Intrepid that accompanied us were brilliant.

This trip is the adventure of a lifetime! So many off the beaten track experiences due to the leaders knowledge and experience. Often the only ones staying at remote campsites under the stars listening to the sounds of rhino, elephants and hippos! The tour of Kruger park with our guide Daniel was sensational ensuring that we got to see as many animals as possible! Definitely not a trip for sissy's due to the hands on requirement which adds so much value to the trip!

Just do it!! This is a truly amazing trip and have memories that will last a lifetime. Our group leader Johannes enthusiasm is infectious, our driver Shadrack safety gets us to our destinations through all the potholes and our chef Enock keeps us so well fed. A truly great team. There are many early starts to see the animals or to get to destinations but well worth it. Buy into the whole experience and you will have the best experience.
