Days 1-2 La Paz
Acclimatise to the heights of La Paz by exploring the alleys and markets of this bustling city. Hop on a local bus to view the surreal rocky landscapes of the Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley).

Days 3-4 Sucre
Travel from La Paz to Sucre and spend time wandering amid whitewashed colonial buildings in Bolivia's capital. For a rush of adrenalin, try an optional dose of mountain biking or hang gliding in this region famed for adventure sports.

Days 5-6 Potosi
Learn about the bleak past of what was once the world's richest city. Take the opportunity to head underground into the depths of a tin mine - a challenging yet rewarding option. Alternatively, stay above ground and peruse the wealth of colonial art and architecture available in Potosi.

Days 7-10 Uyuni/Salar de Uyuni
Explore the strange and stunning landscapes of the Salar de Uyuni by 4x4, where infinite blue skies meet endless white salt on what was once a prehistoric lake. Discover Bolivia's vivid lakes and geysers and spot cute and quirky llamas and sociable flamingos along the way. Take advantage of the fun photo opportunities that this memorable area is famous for.

Days 11-12 La Paz
Return to La Paz on a local bus. Use free time to get to know a different side of this city at the Witches' Market, a place full of unusual trinkets and a host of curious sights. Locals visit here for herbs, folk remedies and fortune-telling services; keep an eye out for yatiri (witch doctors) who circulate throughout the market. Opt to finish the trip with a farewell group dinner, a great opportunity to say goodbye to new friends and share memories of the trip.
