Travel across the sunburnt Australian Outback to Uluru and Watarrka National Park
Unending landscapes blend into infinite skies, time traces back to a period called 'The Dreaming' and boulders just don't come any bigger... welcome to Australia's rightly famous Outback. Home to one of the world's oldest surviving cultures, an abundance of iconic wildlife and the earth's biggest rock, the Red Centre looms in the mind of many as the archetypal vision of Australia. And with a German translator accompanying this 3-day adventure, native German speakers will really be able to get the most from their experience. Traipse between the colossal domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), watch Uluru light up at sunrise, navigate the winding gullies of Kings Canyon and learn up on Aboriginal lore and legends. Starting in Yulara and finishing in Alice Springs, this Uluru Safari spares no time getting to know this unique region (the tour code for this trip was previously PISRW).

Touch down in Yulara and drive out to Kata Tjuta – a colossal collection of ochre-coloured sandstone domes some 500 million years old. Explore this impressive site that has sacred significance to the local Anangu people on a Valley of the Winds walk. Then return to camp and witness a fabulous Red Centre sunset unfold over dinner and a glass of sparkling wine.
After watching morning break over Uluru, set out on a walk around the base of the world's biggest rock. Learn about the history and customs of the site's traditional custodians, the Mala people, during a cultural interpretive walk with an Aboriginal guide and interpreter. Peruse Aboriginal arts and crafts on display at the Cultural Centre before hitting the road to Kings Canyon.
Embark on a hike through Kings Canyon that takes in the Lost City and Garden of Eden, as well as whatever local wildlife you might chance to spy. Following lunch, return to the quirky outback town of Alice Springs where this Uluru Safari ends.
