Day 1 Perth/Horrocks

Welcome to sunny Perth. If arriving early, perhaps catch a game of Aussie Rules Football, hit the shops or take a boat across to Rottnest Island. Start the trip by driving to the famous Pinnacles in Nambung National Park and exploring the peculiar moon-like desert that's filled with ancient, towering rock domes. After a surreal experience, hit the road to Geraldton.

Day 2 Kalbarri National Park/Shark Bay

After time spent exploring rugged Kalbarri National Park and swimming in Murchison Gorge, visit breathtaking Shell Beach before journeying further up Australia's west coast towards Shark Bay.

Day 3 Monkey Mia/Coral Bay

Trek down to the beach and clap eyes on the Monkey Mia dolphins. The Stromatolites at Hamelin Pool are another must-see on the way to captivating Coral Bay.

Days 4-5 Exmouth

Swim, snorkel or scuba dive in Coral Bay, an ocean sanctuary for whale sharks, dugongs, manta rays and sea turtles. At Ningaloo Marine Park, home to Western Australia's largest coral reef, strap on a snorkel to see over 200 species of coral. In the evening, take a short drive to Exmouth, the perfect location to explore beautiful Turquoise Bay and the historic Vlahming Head Lighthouse.

Days 6-8 Karijini National Park

Pass through the iron-ore town of Tom Price before reaching camp – a jaw-dropping place to spend the night. It’s then time for some real outback magic with two-days spent exploring the delights of Karijini National Park. Swim in idyllic waterholes, feel the soothing massage of ancient waterfalls and witness the beauty of an area thousands of years in the making.

Day 9 Pilbra Region

Although hard to leave, it's time for the journey towards Port Hedland, where our ultimate destination for the day is Pardoo Station, a real outback treat.

Day 10 Broome

Stop by the glorious Eighty Mile Beach on the road to Broome.

Day 11 Broome

Enjoy a free day in this peaceful pearling town are yours to spend as you choose – hop on the Heritage Trail, hit Cable Beach or check out the latest flick at the world's oldest outdoor cinema. When it comes to things to do in Broome, the choices are endless.

Day 12 Pilbra Region

Get started on the long drive back to Perth. Spend the night camped out in the Pilbara region.

Day 13 Great Northern Highway

Pass through nondescript mining towns and past sprawling wheat farms and gigantic livestock stations and get a sense of what makes this state the richest in the country. We spend our last night together at the impressive Nallan Station.

Day 14 Perth

Stop in New Norcia, the only monastic town in the country. Built by Benedictine monks in the 1840s, the town is widely renowned for its quality baked goods... and held by many to be haunted! Paranormal intervention notwithstanding, we can expect a late afternoon arrival in Perth. If time permits, why not stick around an extra day or so and get to know this attractive city.
