Itinerary

Begin the adventure in Kenya's capital, Nairobi.
Travel to Arusha before setting up camp in a Tanzanian village. Spend the next morning exploring this fascinating area in free time.
Descend to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater to spot rhinos, elephants and zebras before heading out across the Serengeti plains.
Travel to Mto Wa Mbu and perhaps explore the village and the market on a walk with the group.
Camp amid tropical gardens on the slopes of mighty Mt Kilimanjaro.
Pitch tents on a beach just outside the coastal city of Dar es Salaam.
Be enchanted by exotic spice plantations, ornate architecture and beachside sunsets in Zanzibar. Be sure to sample a spicy seafood curry.
Return to the mainland by ferry and stay at a beachside camp near Dar es Salaam.
Travel through the Mikumi National Park where giraffes are often seen munching on acacia foliage. Spend a night in the highland town of Iringa, before heading onwards into Malawi.
Travel south to vast Lake Malawi, which covers roughly a fifth of the country. Relax on the beach and meet friendly Malawians.
Watch for large herds of elephants, buffalo and giraffes on the sweeping plains of South Luangwa. With one of the richest and most concentrated animal populations on the African continent, it’s little wonder this is rated as one of the best wildlife sanctuaries around.
After a few days out in the wild, lap up Lusaka in all its established urban glory. Explore the city streets, do a spot of shopping or recount stories from the past few days over dinner at one of the city’s great restaurants.
Explore galleries, museums and gardens in Harare.
Visit the Great Zimbabwe Ruins and discover some of the most significant ancient ruins in Africa.
Peruse the many markets in the city of Bulawayo before venturing out into Matobo National Park in search of rare rhinos.
Witness the tremendous power of Victoria Falls as torrents of water cascade into the canyon below.
Enjoy an exciting game drive in Botswana's Chobe National Park and take an optional cruise along the Chobe River on the lookout for wallowing hippos and soaring fish eagles.
Travel into Namibia and choose to relax with a boat trip.
Discover the watery wildlife haven of Okavango Delta by mokoro, a dugout canoe poled along by a local guide. Set up camp on a lush, remote island and fall asleep to the nocturnal music of the delta.
The African adventure continues to Bagani where we set up camp for the night.
Meet the San Bushmen of the Kalahari and observe their age-old traditions on a desert tracking and gathering trip.
Roam Etosha Park's dry plains, perhaps encountering elephants, antelope and big cats.
Watch the rock formations of Spitzkoppe change colour with the light.
See the seal colonies of Cape Cross then perhaps try optional activities such as skydiving, quad-biking or sandboarding in Swakopmund.
Make our way towards the Namib Desert. The following day wake before dawn and scramble to the top of the dunes for a dramatic sunrise view before jumping in the back of 4x4's to explore the surreal landscape of Sossusvlei.
Relax by the Fish River Canyon - one of the largest canyons in the world - which offers impressive photo opportunities.
Cross into South Africa and travel along the Orange River by canoe or simply laze by the scenic riverbanks.
This African adventure ends among the cafes and vineyards of this stunning bayside city. If time permits, stay an extra day or two to experience all the wonderful things Cape Town has to offer.
