Who is Intrepid Travel?

For travellers with a yearning to get off the beaten track, Intrepid opens up a whole new world. Why become an Intrepid Member?

The question is why wouldn't you? By becoming an Intrepid Member you can enjoy a more tailored and personal experience with us. Once you have registered you will be able to sign up for our newsletters at the click of a button, order brochures, make online enquiries and get information and offers that are not available to non-members. Best of all, membership is completely free.

Do I need to log in every time I visit Intrepid's website?

No, however when you are logged in you will have a better experience and be able to enter competitions with just one click, easily subscribe or unsubscribe from our newsletters, update your details and outline your travel preferences, in order to receive more tailored and relevant communications from us.

Why are you asking me for personal information?

Knowing more about you helps us understand who you are and what you are interested in. This helps us provide more relevant information, services and offers for you. It also enables us to identify you as a unique member, keeping your details secure.

What do you do with the information you collect?

Your privacy is very important to us. Intrepid Travel complies with government legislation on email communications, and we manage your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not sell or share your personal information (including your email address) with third parties.

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password simply click on Forgot Password? on the login page, then enter the username/email address you registered with. We will then email your username and password to this address.

How do I change my password?

If you would like to change your password first log in with your existing details then go to the My Details page. Once there step through the following:

- Check the change password box
- You will then be asked to enter your existing password and to enter a new password
- Ensure all your details are correct, then press the save button at the bottom of the form

What if my email address changes?

You can update your email address at any time but please note that this means you are also changing your Username. To update your email address, log in under your existing email address/username and password, go to the My Details page, tick the Change Details box and update your email address. You will be required to re-enter your password to confirm this change. Ensure you save your changes before logging out.

How do I update my other details?

You can update your contact details at anytime. Login under your existing email address/username and password, go to the My Details page, tick the 'Change Details' tickbox, then update the details as required. You may be required to re-enter your password to confirm this change. Ensure you save your changes before logging out.

What type of newsletters are there?

Intrepid currently has two different genres of e-newsletters. We actually recommend you sign up to both to hear about all offers, news and chances to WIN trips.

Intrepid Express is our ever-popular inspirational communication full of travel tips, Intrepid news, tales from the trails, inspirational competitions and exclusive special travel offers and the chance to WIN a trip a week. You can opt to receive Intrepid Express monthly or weekly.

Our Intrepid Real Deals provide you with the latest in adventure travel deals. Subscribers are the first to hear about offers from Intrepid and ways to save on airfares, insurance, shortbreaks and more!

How do I subscribe / unsubscribe from an Intrepid newsletter?

After October 29, 2009 to subscribe to a newsletter you need to be an Intrepid Member. If you are not yet a member, click here to sign up. If you are already a member, simply log in to the Member Centre, click on the "My Subscriptions" tab and select the Subscribe column next to the newsletters you would like to receive. Then click the "Save changes" button at the bottom of the page. To unsubscribe from a newsletter, simply click on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Troubleshooting

I'm having trouble registering.

If you are having trouble registering, check that the following are in place:

- You have completed all the required information fields.
- Your browser settings accept cookies.

Why can't I see the security code?

If you cannot see the security code, the image may be being blocked by your browser or internet security software that mistakenly thinks the image is an advertisement. To correct this, either allow ads to be shown on the registration page, or disable your internet security software while you register. You will only need to enter this security code upon registration.

What do I do if I have unsubscribed but still continue to receive newsletters?
Our systems are set up to unsubscribe you the moment you no longer wish to receive a specific e-newsletter from us, however please allow 3-5 days for your subscription status to be updated in the event this doesn't happen immediately. If you continue to receive e-newsletters from Intrepid after this period of time, please email marketing@intrepidtravel.com
