Days 1-2 Buenos Aires

Enjoy a guided walk around the city, taking in Plazo de Mayo, San Telmo and other colourful neighbourhoods that shape this enigmatic city. Then set out under your own steam and discover this city for yourself.

Days 3-4 Iguazu Falls

Glimpse Iguazu Falls from all angles. Wider than Victoria Falls and higher than Niagara, these 275 falls join to make one very impressive display, showcasing Mother Nature at her best.

Days 5-6 Rio de Janeiro

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, one of the most electrifying cities on the planet. With gorgeous beaches, looming mountains, vivacious locals and a fiery night-life, set out to explore the ins and outs of the city with a guide and at your leisure.

Day 7 Lima

Get acquainted with Lima's historical landmarks and pleasant parks on a guided downtown walking tour. The vibrant suburb of Miraflores, packed with lively bars and atmospheric restaurants, is a great place to wile away evening hours.

Days 8-9 Amazon Jungle

Fly to Puerto Maldonado, where our Amazon Jungle adventure begins. Wind along the river to the eco-lodge, spotting birds and animals along the way. Enjoy a number of walks into the jungle with a local guide and be shown the uses of local plants and the abundance of colourful wildlife.

Days 10-11 Cuzco

Swap the jungle for colonial and Inca architecture in Cuzco. Explore the plazas, churches, museums, markets and ruins of this charismatic city.

Day 12 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo

Spend time in Ollantaytambo, a town that gives a good idea of what it would have been like to live there during Inca times. Explore the well-preserved ruins and visit with members of the local community.

Day 13 Aguas Calientes

A spectacular train journey takes you to Aguas Calientes, which is home to some impressive hot springs and is the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Days 14-15 Machu Picchu/Cuzco

An early start rewards with seeing Machu Picchu at its most impressive - with the sun rising over the mountainside and lighting up the ruins. Spend time with a guide who will give the history of the site then explore them at your own pace. Return to Cuzco and perhaps spend the evening in one of the restaurants off the Plaza de Armas.

Days 16-18 Puno/Lake Titicaca

Catch a bus to Puno, travelling across the vast altiplano to get there. Then, jump aboard a boat and set sail across impressive Lake Titicaca, stopping at the Uros floating islands to learn about their unique culture. Spend the night with a local family, cooking up a storm and getting an insight into their way of life.

Day 19 La Paz

Cross into Bolivia and make tracks to La Paz, the country's unofficial capital. Wander steep, cobbled streets, discover eclectic markets and get a hefty dose of Quechua culture.

Days 20-21 Santiago

Catch a plane to Santiago, then choose to join the group for a delicious dinner. The next day is yours to explore the city - perhaps checking out the funky Bella Vista area or taking a cable car to Cerro San Cristobal for some amazing views over the city.

Days 22-23 Mendoza

Travel a route over the Andes to Mendoza. Spend the next few days exploring this beautiful city and its close-by wineries, discovering the region's amazing food and sipping on its signature Malbec.

Days 24-25 Buenos Aires estancia stay

Spend a night on an Argentinean estancia and get to know what it's like to live as an authentic gaucho.

Days 26-27 Buenos Aires

Come full circle back to Buenos Aires. Perhaps farewell this South American sojourn with a decadent last dinner and tango in one of the city's fabulous late night venues.
