Patagonia Wilderness SummaryAdd to Shortlist
Cosmopolitan, cultured and chic, Buenos Aires has European sensibilities with a fiery Latin heart. Discover colonial architecture, funky neighbourhoods, exceptional cuisine and a thriving nightlife.
Surrounded by snowy-mountain peaks and endless grass plains, El Calafate is famed for its proximity to the Perito Moreno Glacier. One of the few advancing glaciers in the world, Perito Moreno Glacier is a glorious, electric-blue mass of ice that occasionally breaks dramatically into Lago Argentino.
The small village of El Chalten, nestled between picturesque mountains within Glacier National Park, is mainly a campsite for visitors, albeit a spectacular one. Originally a place for wool traders to gather, El Calafate has grown into a charming town with lots of restaurants and outdoor activities on offer.
Located in the wilds of Patagonia, Torres del Paine National Park is one of the world's most beautiful landscapes with glaciers, lakes and dramatic mountain peaks.
Once a Chilean penal colony, Punta Arenas is now a vibrant port city with plenty of museums, historic sites and shops to keep you entertained.
A picturesque town at the end of the world, Ushuaia is the launching pad for many Antarctica trips and is also excellent for hiking and mountain-based activities.
From working-class La Boca to the well-to-do streets of Recoleta, Buenos Aires is comprised of many distinct neighbourhoods, each with their own unique style to explore.

Patagonia Wilderness, January 2014
Great experience - enjoyed the variation in types of accomodation. Leader was very friendly and was able to deal with the range of ages on our tour. His recommendations of places to eat was amazing and the additional tours he recommended were always good.

Patagonia Wilderness, March 2014
The overall tour experience was amazing. Everything was taken care of. The breakneck pace of the trip was rigorous but great. Andres was an amazing leader, who provided anything we needed and whose guidance and tenacity was an invaluable part of why the trip was so great.
