Day 1 Embarkation Longyearbyen

Climb aboard at Longyearbyen, the largest settlement on Spitsbergen. Get your first taste of the Arctic as you witness spectacular views of snow-topped mountains and clear, icy waters.

Days 2-5 Exploring Spitsbergen

A trove of natural beauty awaits in Spitsbergen and its outlying islands. The mammoth Monaco Glacier is a surreal sight to behold, and hiking among the colourful wildflowers of the 14th of July Glacier provides an other-worldly experience. With plenty of chances for hiking, snowshoeing and zodiac cruising, as well as ample opportunities for wildlife spotting and landscape gawking, exploring Spitsbergen can be as active or as slow-paced as you see fit.

Days 6-7 Greenland Sea

As the ship soars through the icy waters of the Greenland Sea, spend some time relaxing with your fellow travellers. Share a few drinks in the lounge, scout for seabirds from the deck and learn about the wildlife and history of Greenland – your next stop.

Days 8-11 Eastern Greenland

Refuel energy levels on Greenland’s remote eastern coast. The Inuit settlement of Ittoqqortoormiit provides a unique glimpse of the past. The locals live off the land just as their ancestors did hundreds of years ago. Hike the tundra of Greenland National Park, where herds of musk oxen and Arctic fox roam free, or watch for whales in the distant sea. Then sail through the spectacular Scoresbysund, the world’s largest fjord system, and be mesmerised by the massive icebergs jutting high out of the water.

Day 12 Denmark Strait

The voyage continues towards Iceland, along the Denmark Strait. Relax and rest your feet while learning from the expedition team about all the incredible things you have seen.

Day 13 Disembarkation Reykjavik

The adventure ends in Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital, a city famous for its energetic night-life, eclectic music scene and Viking history.
