Set sail on an unforgettable tour of the Antarctic Peninsula on this Southern Expedition
Cast off from Ushuaia, Argentina, to embark on an adventure to one of the most beautiful and remote locations on the planet. Sail across the notorious Drake Passage bound for the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. Explore a world covered in ice and snow; marvel at the odd shapes and spectacular hues of drifting icebergs; spot albatross, cormorants, seals, penguins and whales; and discover the land of the midnight sun - the blues and whites of Antarctica are truly breathtaking.

Crossing the Circle: Southern Expedition Summary
Add to ShortlistDay 1 Ushuaia
A picturesque town at the end of the world, Ushuaia is the launching pad for many Antarctica trips and is also excellent for hiking and mountain-based activities.
Day 2 Embarkation
The beautiful Beagle Channel, which links Ushuaia with the Drake Passage, is particularly rich with birdlife - penguins, cormorants, petrels and albatross can all be seen here.
Days 3-4 Drake Passage
The infamous Drake Passage is a fascinating place where the raw power of nature is always on display - seabirds circle overhead and whales happily cruise these waters.
Days 5-8 Antarctic Peninsula & South Shetland Islands
The coldest, windiest, driest and iciest continent, Antarctica is a land of spectacular scenery, epic adventure and some of the world's most iconic wildlife.
Days 9-10 The Antarctic Circle
More than just an imaginary line at 66° 33’ S, crossing the Antarctic Circle is an impressive achievement - this magical part of the world is visited by very few people.
Days 11-12 Antarctic Peninsula
One of the last true wilderness areas left on earth, the Antarctic Penisula is largely unchanged since the early explorers first landed on its inhospitable shores.
Days 13-14 Drake Passage
Named for the famed English explorer Sir Frances Drake, the 800km-wide Drake Passage separates the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula from the bottom of South America.
Day 15 Ushuaia
Renowned as the world's southernmost city, Ushuaia has plenty to offer the many adventurers who pass through: nice restaurants, interesting museums and the nearby Tierra del Fuego National Park.
