Family Winter Activity Week Summary

Add to Shortlist

Day 1 Soldeu - Arrival

Our base for the week is the small town of Soldeu (1800m) which is located in the centre of this tiny, land-locked country.

Day 2 Soldeu - Snowshoeing/sledging

Today we head for the scenic Incles Valley - two minutes from the hotel - where our Group Leader will give a quick lesson on how to put on snowshoes before we head out on them.

Day 3 Soldeu - Cross country skiing

A day for families to explore Soldeu village or choose their own adventure. For an energetic excursion, why not try skiing. Head up the cable car and take advantage of the fabulous range of quiet slopes to have a lesson and master the technique.

Day 4 Soldeu - Igloo building

After breakfast we transfer to El Tarter ski station (1700m), a ten minute drive away, to learn an interesting new skill - how to build an igloo!

Day 5 Soldeu - Free day for optionals

Use skis and poles to trek across the virgin snowscapes of Andorra’s winter wonderland. Raise a sweat on this easy-paced adventure and discover why this sport is both an efficient way to travel plus a great full-body workout.

Day 6 Soldeu - Dog sledding

Harness the power of a pack of huskies and experience the week’s most memorable form of transport. After a leisurely morning, hold on tight and enjoy the thrill of driving the dog sleds through the snow.

Day 7 Soldeu - At leisure

After the excitement of the last few days, today is free for families to be as active or relaxed as they choose. Perhaps the vote will be to brush up on those snowshoeing skills, or to hit the slopes again. Alternatively, for a more easygoing pace, enjoy some tax-free shopping or soothe tired limbs in the thermal baths. This is the last time to soak up the beautiful surroundings of the Pyrenees mountains which have been the picturesque backdrop to this dazzling family holiday.

Day 8 Soldeu - Trip ends

There are no activities planned for today and your Pyrenees Activity trip finishes after a final breakfast.
