Fond Ohrozenych Deti (Fund for Children in Need)

Based in Prague, this organisation helps children and families in crisis by providing financial help, tutoring, housing and recreation activities. Staffed mainly by volunteers and part time staff, this not-for-profit group helps marginalised people who don't receive help from the government.

Providing much-needed shelter, education, food and health care to many homeless and orphaned Mongolian children, this centre, which is located just outside of Ulaanbaatar, receives no government funding and relies solely on grants and donations to continue providing this essential service.

This organisation was created to reduce the number of casualties caused by unexploded ordinance (UXO) that still lies on much of Laos’ land. By raising community awareness, training locals, surveying and clearing land, this group is working towards savings lives and building a safer future for the people of Laos.
