Uzbekistan Culture, Geography and History
Geography and Environment of Uzbekistan
Located in Central Asia and sharing borders with Turkmenistan, Kazakstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan, Uzbekistan is a landlocked country with a variety of different terrain. Visitors can expect to see deserts, mountains, valleys, with little water to speak of, mainly due to most areas receiving very little rainfall throughout the year. As a result of this, much of Uzbekistan's countryside is dusty, sandy and dry, with pockets of fertile, green land interspersed throughout the rocky landscapes.
